Product Development
Based the designs and brand standards developed by the appointed design agency, we will work with the designer to produce a range of products known as the sign family or kit of parts . Detailed design Intent fabrication drawings and specifications for each sign model will be required. These technical drawings will be used by each of the selected sign vendors to fabricate signage.
We consider ourselves as the architect to the product, as the designer is to the brand.
Specifications
In order to build a sign, various materials are required to be incorporated. In order retain consistency in all manufactured products , illumination, finishes , branding and longevity of the sign, special consideration is required to the correct selection of specifications to enhance the product whist taking into account budgets and the brand.
Design Intent Drawings
The challenge for any designer is to ensure their 2 dimensional design concepts can be produced into a fully functional product. Our roll is to work with the designer to translate their design concepts without compromising the brand or the look of the product.
Importantly, final product costs are also taken into account, through our extensive knowledge on building signage, all our drawings are value engineered to reduce excessive cots at the point of production. We produce all drawings in house to retain control, standards and consistency.
Prototype Management
Based on the combination of the sign designs , brand standards developed by the appointed design agency and the developed detailed design Intent fabrication drawings for each sign model. We will work with designer and the client to select a qualified sign manufacturer to build prototypes of critical sign models selected from the family of signs.
We will coordinate production and the review of the prototypes both in day and night conditions. Signs will be evaluated for aesthetics, readability, lighting, construction and value engineering. Prototypes will be reviewed by the designer and the client for final approval.
